Arsenal's form away from home is a very disappointing one, they have been defeated in their last four consecutive away matches. The 3-0 humiliation at crystal palace saw calls for Wenger to resign as manager of the Gunners increase rapidly. This is an indication that their patience is slowly running out and they want good results.
Arsene Wenger admitted that there is increased pressure for the Gunners to deliver results.
Arsenal will be optimistic of getting a good result when they face Middlesbrough on Monday evening. Arsenal is currently seventh in the Premier  League with 54 points having played 30 games.

Middlesbrough, on the other hand, is also having a poor run of form that is very demoralizing, the last time they registered a win was in mid-December against Stoke City.
They have since drawn six and lost eight of their past 14 matches in the Premier League.
They have conceded 18 goals and scored only six in the fourteen games. To be able to escape the relegation zone, they have to pick up six points to be safe. Boro achieving this seems to be a tall order for them as they are a defensive minded team who don't score many goals as such.

Arsenal has registered seven defeats, four wins and one draw in their past 12 matches in all competitions.

Arsenal is weak defensively at the moment. This is what  Middlesbrough should exploit to beat them, but I don't see this coming because Middlesbrough is also destitute in their attack.

Lucas Perez,(striker)  Santi Cazorla(midfield player), and David Ospina(goalkeeper) are injured.

Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny might start but are still doubts for this clash

James Husband, Fabio da Silva, George Friend and Callum Chambers are doubts for this match but might play.
