After
a disappointing start of the season,
Borussia Dortmund have steered themselves comfortably to the top
four.Regards to a strong start of 2017. Dortmund head into this
off the back of consecutive 3-0 wins against strugglers Wolfsburg and
mid-table Freiburg, which puts them second on league form for 2017 –
only league leaders Bayern Munich are above them (by just one point).
Bayer
Leverkusen are another side who suffered with inconsistency before the
winter break, but things don’t seem to be on the turnaround for Roger
Schmidt’s side. Leverkusen lost 2-0 at home to Mainz 05 last weekend,
their third defeat in 2017 (W3 L3), and Leverkusen’s search for
Champions League qualification doesn’t get any easier with a fixture
away to Borussia Dortmund, who are without defeat at Signal-Iduna-Park
since April 2015 (W25 D6).
Borussia Dortmund
are the favorites to win this match , the “-1.0 Asian Handicap” at 0.92 is the best option because; Dortmund are unbeaten in 31 consecutive
Bundesliga matches at home – the longest run in the club’s history.
However, what’s even more impressive is the BVB’s 81% win rate over
this streak, which including wins against Bayern Munich, Borussia
M’gladbach and RB Leipzig within their last five at Signal-Iduna-Park.
Needless to say that Dortmund thrive at home.
Dortmund are the
better side on paper and the form of dynamic duo Pierre-Emerick
Aubameyang – the Bundesliga’s joint top scorer (19 goals in 20
appearances) – and Marco Reus should prove particularly troublesome.
Aubameyang has scored three goals in his last four outings, so we expect
him to cause some problems for a Leverkusen side that have kept just
one clean sheet on the road all season.
He’d be my choice for an
anytime scorer bet .
Leverkusen have the worst defense in the
top eight this season , with 32 goals conceded – 8 goals more than 5th place Hertha –
which doesn’t bode well against the 2nd best offense in the Bundesliga
(46 goals scored). Borrusia Dortmund have kept two keeping clean sheets in their last two matches. I feel that Leverkusen have the
potential to score a goal given they’ve only failed to score in
one of their ten matches away. As such, i feel a 3-1 correct score bet for Borussia
Dortmund win .
Bayer
Leverkusen won at home when they met with Dortmund last at home 2-0 . they have met 37 times at home to Bayer Leverkusen,
Dortmund have won 18, drawn 10 and lost 9.
Dortmund
have won 70% of their matches at home (W7 D3). Bayer Leverkusen have lost half
of their matches away so far (W4 D1 L5). Dortmund averagely score 2.2 goals
scored per match at home. Leverkusen have scored at least one goal in the Bundesliga away matches this season except for one match (90%).
Dortmund
are doubtful over Sven Bender (center-back), Sokratis (center-back),
Sebastian Rode (center mid), and Nuri Sahin (center mid).
Attacking-midfielder Mario Gotze (attacking mid) has been ruled out for
the foreseeable future due to "metabolic disturbances".
Bayer
Leverkusen will once again be without star midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu,
who has been banned for four months for a breach of contract with
Turkish side Trabszonspor. Captain Lars Bender is also doubtful.
BOTH TIPS WON
FINAL RESULT 6-2
